As dental practitioners at Ollie & Darsh we have performed thousands of corrective treatments for clients. One of the most common questions we get asked is how long does Invisalign, or Six Month Smiles take?

The answer to this frequently asked question can have totally different answers depending on each individual client, their treatment, requirements and corrective plan.

For us, we can see why this is one of the most common questions. However, we strongly believe that it’s not how long it takes that is of utmost importance, but how long the results last.

If you didn’t already know, the results last a lifetime!

So let’s take a closer look at both treatments, how long they can take, and of course the life changing results!

Six Month Smiles

Generally speaking, this treatment has a clue in the name as to how long it will take. However six months smiles can vary, and should only be an indication of the time it takes. It will totally depend on your individual needs, the severity of orthodontic imperfections and the desired outcome. Generally speaking our 6MS clients experience the treatment from as little as six months, and through to around 9 or 10 months.

The second question that is most frequently asked about this treatment is whether or no they are suitable for older clients. We can assure you that Six Month Smiles are suitable for anyone of the age of 18 and over. They really do rid the stereotype that braces are just for teens and are a much less obtrusive way of straightening your smile.

For anyone who experiences insecurity from day to day because of certain orthodontic imperfections then we want to help you get rid of that feeling forever!

The second treatment we offer that can do just that is our award winning Invisalign process. At Ollie & Darsh we have received Diamond Status Provider for this treatment, meaning we have a wealth of experience in performing the method.

Just like Six Month Smiles, Invisalign will take as long as required depending on imperfections, whether it a crooked smile, overcrowded mouth or gap toothed. The average time spent having this treatment is usually between one and two years.

Along with all the appointments and advice we give you throughout your journey, what we also stress is the importance that you do your bit too to make the most out of your treatment.

We recommend you keep your clear aligners on for 22 hours of the day, any less than this and you can expect for the treatment to take longer. After all, who wouldn’t want the best from their treatment, we know we would.

Whether Invisalign is the right treatment for you, or Six Months Smiles, we can guarantee that either will transform your teeth and leave you amazed by the difference.

Our January offer means you can receive £1000 off the treatment of your choice. We are already taking places for the New Year but of course, each year they fill up fast. So don’t risk the disappointment of missing out and sign up today here!
