Will it work for me?
If you have all your adult teeth, most clients can be treated with Invisalign® even if they have crowns or bridges.
Many common issues like crooked or crowded teeth, spaces between teeth and certain overbite and crossbite types can successfully be corrected.
Is this treatment only for adults?
No, you just need to have all your adult teeth and you need to be committed to wearing your aligners at all times except for eating, drinking and cleaning.
We also have Invisalign Teen® , which is especially designed with teenagers in mind.
How do I get started?
Call in for a FREE consultation. We'll consider your individual smile and discuss your goals. Following this, you will have an evaluation with Ollie & Darsh and then we will take impressions, an x-ray and a photograph.
How long does the treatment take?
Each of our cases are individual so dependent on the difficulty, most adult cases take between six to 18 months.
Are the aligners really invisible?
They are made from clear plastic, so they are virtually invisible. Most people will not notice you are straightening your teeth.
How old is this technology?
Align Technology, Inc., the company that manufacturers Invisalign® , was founded in 1997. Since then over 480,000 clients have been treated with Invisalign® .
Can I eat or drink with my aligners?
No. The aligners are removable so you can still enjoy your favourite food and drinks. You need to be careful and to avoid tooth decay and /or gum disease by not forcing the food particles and sugars against your teeth via the aligners. So keeping them clean is very important.
How long do I have to wear the aligners?
For the best results, the aligners should be worn for 22 hours every day. Every two weeks you will move on to the next one in your series. You'll come in every two months for a review and to be given more aligners.
Do the aligners hurt?
It is quite normal that you will only feel temporary discomfort when you wear the aligners for the first few days. The smooth aligners are not harmful to the inside of your mouth, but you do feel pressure like pain and this is a good sign that the aligners are working.
Are there any side effects?
As with conventional treatments, you may feel a little pressure at first. Aligners may temporarily affect the speech of some people for the first 24 to 48 hours, and you may have a slight lisp for a day or two.
